“The two and a half hour drive from Calais was very pleasant – no traffic and reasonable toll charges at just under €20. Chateau Mont Royal was easy to find, just 10 minutes off the motorway, and clearly signed – it looked amazing in the dark as our headlights picked out the fantastic architecture. There is plenty of parking and the reception foyer is decorated with utmost taste, with two black life size horses, fresh flowers and ornate windows.
We had a beautiful room with a stunning view of the Chantilly forest in autumn. Our room was lovely with classic furniture and a marble bathroom. We were also greeted by letter from the management along with drinks and complimentary biscuits.
We headed down to the pool in slippers and robes provided by the hotel - pool and Jacuzzi were so relaxing, and because it was open until 11pm it’s never really busy.
Breakfast was amazing, with hot and cold sections – we were spoilt for choice, and all of the food tasted amazing. Chateau Mont Royal is perfect for a honeymoon and we’re looking forward to going back soon!”

“Palm Opera Hotel was easy to find…pleasant Parisian area off the main thoroughfare. The hotel as you advised had been recently refurbished, the style…very tasteful, the rooms we had were typical in size for a boutique style hotel.
Breakfast room was first class as was the choice of breakfast and the service…complimentary coffee and cold drinks (refrigerated) available in the reception together with a choice of fruit…bed was comfortable and the rooms very clean. The receptionists were all very helpful and enhanced the experience.
We found a restaurant/bar in reasonable proximity to the hotel, 'Au Général La Fayette, 52 Rue La Fayette, good quality food, nice decor, very pleasant staff with a sense of humour, some regional dishes available, good size portions of food average price 2 courses with wine approx € 25.00 per person.
We look forward to returning and would certainly return to The Palm Opera.”

“Hotel Ibis is a good, clean two star, ideally located in Bruges. The rooms are fine for a short visit…two restaurants we used and enjoyed are ‘De Postiljon’ - about five minute’s walk in the same street with several fixed price menus to choose from, like eating in your own dining room. ‘Venice’ about 15 minute’s walk, the E17.50 menu was good, with a friendly waiter/manager. For model railway enthusiasts there is a small coffee shop called ‘City Rail’ about 5 minutes from the hotel. It has a large working model railway and another under construction.”
