What you need to know...

Hotel Gravensteen dates back to 1865 and though of course completely renovated, the style of the old Second Empire is still present, giving a historical touch to the hotel. With an impressive hallway, high ceilings complete with magnificent ornaments and the grand stairs of the reception area, this place will leave you with lasting impressions. There is an attractive bar and a cosy lounge, and for some relaxation the hotel offers private sauna and a free fitness area. The comfortably decorated rooms are all well equipped with modern comforts, they also feature wireless internet as standard. The hotel lies in the middle of the town centre of Ghent, near the 800 year-old Gravensteen fortress from where the counts of Flanders used to rule.
