Short Break Brussels
The capital of Belgium is a welcome surprise to many visitors. Most think of Brussels as the home of the European Parliament, and while that is true, it still has much to offer. In style and architecture it is very similar to Bruges, but there is so much more of it to enjoy.

Because there are numerous parks to explore, monuments to see and architectural jems to experience, you are unlikely to be able to savour all that Brussels has to offer in 3 or 4 days.

No visit to Brussels would be complete without a visit to the famous Grand Place. Set right in the centre of the City this is a cultural delight with many, historic buildings, steeped in decorative detail. In winter there are light displays, in summer the flower festival, and all year round museums, the indoor market, and a busy outdoor market set just by the Grand Place make this an unmissable stop on any visit to Brussels.

For the shopaholic Brussels is a veritable delight with a glass domed shopping centre, hosting a range of upmarket shops. Nearby is a food lovers paradise with many varied restaurants trying to tempt you to experience what they have to offer.

Brussels is located about 125 miles from Calais, and takes about 2 ½ hours to reach by car,. ALternatively why not travel by Eurostar which takes you right to the city.

If you are able, why not arrive on a Friday, many hotels offer substantially cheaper rates for the weekend and many have third night free offers, click for a quote.
